90 Day Fiancé star Paola Mayfield appeared on Bares All as her transformed avatar. While the show host looked amazed, fans seem disappointed.
Former 90 Day Fiancé star Paola Mayfield appeared on 90 Day: Bares All and showed off her new avatar Paola “Blaze” Mayfield, but she failed to impress many fans. The Colombian beauty was featured on 90 Day Fiancé season 1 and got married to Oklahoma native Russ Mayfield in 2013. The couple had a baby boy in 2019. Russ and Paola have been together for a decade, but they are now having marital issues. In July, Paola ignited divorce rumors with Russ in a cryptic post on social media.
In August, Paola again hinted at the troubled marriage in her Instagram post, in which she said she doesn’t like to pretend that her relationship with Russ is fine. A month ago, she finally cleared the air and revealed that she was taking a break from her husband, Russ. Paola’s manager confirmed that the couple had entered marriage counseling, and they aren’t thinking of getting divorced yet. Paola didn’t let her personal life harm her professional life. After trying her luck as a model and fitness trainer, she has now become a wrestler, known as Paola Blaze.
Russ’ wife showed off her major transformation on 90 Day: Bares All and met show host Shaun Robinson. The official Instagram page of 90 Day Fiancé shared a promo of Paola’s appearance and captioned the post, “Paola is no longer just Paola…she’s Paola Blaze.” The TLC star said that she never imagined herself becoming a wrestler, but there she was. While talking to Shaun, she also spoke about her first wrestling experience. While Shaun appeared excited to see Paola’s major transformation, many 90 Day Fiancé viewers seemed disappointed. A fan said, “First she said model then it was a singer now a wrestler!!!!!??????“
Another fan said, “She is a crappy wrestler. If you haven’t seen her, don’t bother. She is a joke.” Someone else chimed in, “And she wonders why nobody takes her seriously, she’s all over the place…She just wants attention.” Other fans had a problem with Paola stereotyping Latina women. A fan complained, “I hate the whole ‘spicy, wild Latina’ stereotypical narrative.” However, some of Paola’s fans defended her by saying that she is a hustler, which is a good thing. They also applauded Paola for being a hard worker and trying out different things in life.
It is true that she first tried to become a model in Miami. Paola then kick-started her online business as a fitness trainer. Now she is wrestling. Paola took some time to find her passion, but it seems like she has finally found it. She fought her first match in May at a Holiday Inn in Miami, and some fans did love her wrestling moves. Wrestling enthusiasts shared tips with 90 Day Fiancé alum Paola because they thought she was capable and talented enough to start working with major professional wrestling companies like AEW and WWE.
