Hawkeye Adds Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in New Fan Poster

Daredevil actor Vincent D’Onofrio returns as Kingpin alongside Hawkeye’s cast in a new fan-made poster created by a digital artist on Instagram.

An epic fan-made poster for Hawkeye features Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin alongside the cast of the show. Marvel’s new Hawkeye series on Disney+ is set in New York City after the events of Avengers: Endgame, with Jeremy Renner starring as Clint Barton in an action-packed miniseries. The fifth Marvel TV show introduces Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who is primed to take over Hawkeye’s bow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

D’Onofrio made his debut as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Netflix’s Daredevil, playing the main antagonist against Matt Murdock. Fisk was a prominent crime boss attempting to rebuild the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood through his nefarious means, with D’Onofrio’s portrayal of him becoming an enduring fan-favorite. Daredevil concluded with season 3 in 2018, with the interconnected series between Marvel and Netflix coming to an end as Disney developed their own streaming service.

Following the premiere of Hawkeye’s first two episodes, digital artist AGT Design shares their concept poster for the show on Instagram, adding in D’Onofrio’s Kingpin among the confirmed cast. The purple-toned poster encapsulates NYC, with the background resembling a bullseye target in the same shade of the title logo. Given Fisk’s size and positioning, he looks to be just as important to the show in this fan’s reckoning as Lucky the One-Eyed Pizza Dog. Check out the amazing poster below:

The concept poster for Hawkeye embodies the optimism many fans share for D’Onofrio to return as Fisk in the MCU. With the introduction of Echo (Alaqua Cox) in Hawkeye and the recent Disney+ announcement of her spin-off series, fans are eagerly speculating D’Onofrio’s return, since Echo is considered to be Fisk’s adoptive daughter in the Marvel comics. In the past, the actor has repeatedly stated his avid interest in returning to play the villain, along with sharing cryptic tweets in regards to Hawkeye to tease Marvel fans. Furthermore, Trinh Tran, the executive producer behind Hawkeye, refused to address the rumored appearance of Kingpin due to spoilers, letting fans’ imaginations run wild.

Whether D’Onofrio returns to reprise his role or not, it is clear that his performance left a remarkable impression for fans to cherish forever. Amidst other rumors circulating the return of past Marvel characters with the introduction of the multiverse, it remains possible for anyone to appear in the MCU. Recently, Tim Roth returned to play Abomination in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and is slated for the imminent Disney+ She-Hulk series. For now, audiences can revisit D’Onofrio’s time as Fisk on Netflix’s Daredevil and look forward to the upcoming episodes of Hawkeye premiering on Disney+.
