Clayton Echard is the new rumored lead for the next season of The Bachelor. Clayton is a 28-year-old sales rep who used to play football.
Clayton Echard is the new lead rumored to be taking on the role of The Bachelor. Fans of the show may not recognize Clayton as he has yet to appear on the show; however, they will soon meet him. Viewers will get to learn more about Clayton on October 19, when the premiere of Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette will air. No word on how far he makes on it on the show, but he likely made it far enough for fans to enjoy watching him.
Not many major spoilers regarding Michelle’s season have been released besides a few locations. The season will start at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Palm Springs and later at the Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis, where a majority of the season will take place. Most of her suitors have been revealed as well earlier this month, including the new Bachelor. Clayton was reported to be The Bachelor after photos of him filming an intro package with a camera crew were released.
According to Us Weekly, Clayton is a 28-year-old and is currently working in orthopedic sales. He has been working as a full-line sales representative with Stryker Orthopaedics in Columbia, Missouri, for the past three years. Besides having a successful job in sales, the soon-to-be reality star is also in the process of earning his MBA from Southeast Missouri State University for Health/Health Care Administration/Management (via Clayton’s LinkedIn). Before Clayton, who was revealed as The Bachelor lead by Reality Steve, became successful in his career, Clayton attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences. Clayton also minored in business, as well as Spanish. While attending the University of Missouri, Clayton played for their Division I football team as a tight end throughout his four years there.
However, before Clayton’s career in sales took off, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks football team as a free agent in July 2016. During his time with the team, Clayton practiced with them daily and played in four preseason games. He wasn’t able to make it to the final roaster; however, Clayton, who will come from Michelle’s season, did have a great time throughout the process. Other than the many hats he’s worn in his career, Clayton is also a big family guy. Even though he doesn’t post much on social media, the few posts he has pay tribute to his family. Clayton has two parents and two brothers, Patrick and Nate. As for his hobbies, Clayton enjoys being outdoors, working out, and staying healthy. In his LinkedIn bio, Clayton explained that when he’s not on the clock, he enjoys working out. Some of those workouts include “hiking and biking on the nature trails around the Columbia area.” Clayton, whose identity was revealed, also enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and learning to cook healthy meals.
Even though ABC has yet to confirm if Clayton is The Bachelor, the network has yet to deny the news. Executive producer Mike Fleiss did confirm that the next male lead would come from Michelle’s season since she has such a great group of suitors. Hopefully, Clayton is as amazing on-screen as he seems online.
