The long-awaited wedding of Teressa Giudice and Luis Ruelas is almost upon us. For the last year, the engagement was a source of contention within her closest circles. During the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 reunion, it was revealed that Melissa Gorga (Teresa’s sister-in-law, with whom she often feuds) was not asked to be a bridesmaid.
Ramona Singer from Real Housewives of New York then created a stir as she unintentionally leaked Teresa’s wedding invite, forcing the bride-to-be to make numerous modifications. There was also speculation about the filming of her nuptials, to which she seemed to be resistant.
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, Teresa’s wedding will occur this weekend, on Saturday, August 6. The ceremony will be captured by Bravo cameras for an RHONJ spinoff special.
The bride and groom will tie the knot in New Jersey with her four daughters as bridesmaids. Several Housewives are set to attend, including Margaret Josephs (who feuded with Teresa in season 12).
How does Joe Giudice – Teresa’s ex-husband – feel about her upcoming nuptials?
Despite what fans may expect, a source close to Joe told HollywoodLife that he’s “genuinely happy” as Teresa approaches the wedding.
“Despite everything that went down between Teresa and Joe, she will always hold a special place in his heart,” said the source. “They spent most of their lives together and without Teresa, Joe wouldn’t have been blessed with four of the most incredible daughters. His girls mean everything to him and as long as they’re happy, he’s happy.”
“Joe has nothing but respect for Teresa and he’s genuinely happy for her and Louie. Not that she needs it, but Teresa completely has Joe’s blessing with this marriage and he wishes her nothing but the best,” said the friend.
The exes, who share four children, were married 20 years before they split. Their divorce was finalized after the stars went to prison for fraud.
