One user on Twitter Flying Boomerang said: “I love that they do get out and do normal things.

“You can tell that Catherine does the load of taking the kids out and helping them get the things they need like any mom would while dad is not into this kind of thing.”

Cambridges Daily said: “Thank you for sharing! I do love seeing them! George is going to be so tall, and Charlotte too!

“Of course I looked at Catherine for any telltale signs, and I would say there’s still hope even if it’s just a glimmer!”

In other news, Kate is set to meet military personnel and civilians who helped evacuate Afghans from their country in a blow to Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Cambridge will visit RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on Wednesday to chat to those who took part in Operation Pitting, which saw more than 15,000 people airlifted out of Kabul during August.

The engagement would have been a good fit for the Duke of Sussex if he was still a working royal.

Harry – who quit royal duties last year for a new life in California with Meghan Markle – served in the Army for 10 years and carried out two tours of Afghanistan.

“And that again is not just those who wear the uniform but every single one of you, because as we know once served always serving, and that goes across the whole family network and it is often the families that give so much but are sometimes forgotten.

“So to see every single one of you here with the pride on your faces makes me incredibly happy to know how far you guys have come, the dark places you have been to but where you are now, stronger than ever before no doubt, and that is partly, if not mainly down to sport and everybody on this call recognises and understands the importance that sport plays in every single person’s life but as part of rehabilitation, whether it is physical or mental, there really is nothing else that beats it.”
