For decades, BFGoodrich has been synonymous with rugged off-road performance, tested and proven in the grueling Baja 1000 race. The lineage of all-terrain tires from BFGoodrich includes the Radial All-Terrain T/A, the Radial All-Terrain KO, the Radial All-Terrain KO2, and now, the Radial All-Terrain KO3.
The arrival of the BFGoodrich T/A KO3 marks a significant milestone, nearly a decade after the debut of its predecessor. While the new tire retains the hallmark ruggedness and reliability of its lineage, it introduces several noteworthy changes.
One of the most apparent alterations is the revised tread pattern. While maintaining the general theme of its predecessors, the KO3 features tread blocks positioned closer together compared to the KO2. Unlike its predecessor, the KO3 lacks triangular stone-ejecting elements in the voids but showcases the designation “KO3” in miniature lettering between alternating shoulder tread lugs.
Furthermore, the KO3 addresses water evacuation with larger water channels that extend more extensively across the tread pattern compared to the KO2. Additionally, the tread blocks boast an increased number of interlocking full-depth sipes, providing additional biting edges and enhancing tread block stability. This enhancement not only improves handling in snowy conditions but also enhances grip on rocky terrain, as the tread elements flex and conform to the terrain.
The introduction of the BFGoodrich T/A KO3 represents a continuation of BFGoodrich’s commitment to delivering top-tier all-terrain performance while embracing innovation and evolution in tire technology. With its enhanced tread design and optimized performance characteristics, the KO3 is poised to set new benchmarks in off-road capability and versatility.
As enthusiasts eagerly anticipate putting the BFGoodrich T/A KO3 to the test in various terrains and conditions, it signals a new chapter in the storied legacy of BFGoodrich’s all-terrain tires, promising unparalleled performance and durability for the modern adventurer.
