“Fatal Helicopter Crash and Avalanche Claim Lives in Swiss Alps”
Three individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries in a Fatal Helicopter tragic helicopter crash on Tuesday on Petit Combin mountain in the Swiss Alps, as confirmed by the police. The helicopter involved was of B3 type and crashed at a designated landing site during a heliski drop-off, according to a statement issued by the Wallis regional police force.

“After reaching the summit of a mountain peaking at 3,668 meters above sea level, for reasons that the investigation will need to ascertain, the aircraft slid down the northern slope,” the statement explained.
The occupants of the helicopter included the pilot, a mountain guide, and four clients. However, their identities have not yet been disclosed. Following the crash, a rescue operation was swiftly initiated, with seven helicopters dispatched to the site.
Medical assistance was provided to the injured individuals, who were then airlifted to the hospital in Sion, the capital of the Wallis canton. Tragically, three occupants of the aircraft were found deceased at the scene.
Additionally, in another incident on Monday within the southeastern Wallis canton, three individuals, including a 15-year-old boy from the United States, lost their lives in an avalanche.
