SiEngine, a joint venture betcween ECARX and ARM China, spearheads the design, development, and sales of sophisticated automotive electronic chips. ECARX, founded by Geely’s founder Eric Li (Li Shufu), is an automotive technology provider, while ARM, a UK-based chip design company under Softbank, collaborates in this venture. The partnership of ECARX and ARM played a pivotal role in supporting SiEngine’s initial IP design and tape-out. In 2022, SiEngine secured substantial capital investments from three sources, including FAW and diverse industrial chains, through Series A/A+ financing. The robust financial backing has positioned SiEngine favorably, evident in the strides made in developing the Dragon Eagle-1.

SiEngine, technically affiliated with Geely, is under the chairmanship of Shen Ziyu, who also serves as the Chairman and CEO of ECARX and Xingji Meizu, a Geely subsidiary. SiEngine is committed to advancing the capabilities of the Dragon Eagle-1 and plans to integrate it into a broader spectrum of electric vehicle brands.
