Wembanyama, still on a minutes restriction due to an ankle injury, played only 26 minutes but made a significant impact. However, a late surge by Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, including crucial three-pointers, shifted the momentum.
In a back-and-forth battle, Wembanyama’s block on Antetokounmpo and a game-tying 3-pointer briefly leveled the score. Nevertheless, the Bucks, led by Antetokounmpo’s impressive stat line of 44 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists, secured the four-point victory.
Wembanyama concluded the game with 27 points, nine rebounds, and five blocks, showcasing his prowess despite the team’s challenging season. Devin Vassell led the Spurs with 34 points, while Tre Jones contributed 18 points. The Spurs, with a record of 5-29, face ongoing struggles, having lost nine of their past ten games.
