Despite its impressive features, this camper van maintains affordability, addressing a significant obstacle to camper van ownership—cost. A new 2024 Ford Transit Trail high-roof, starting at around $72,000, equipped with Wayfarer Vans’ Wilford interior conversion (starting at $24,000, this instance totaling approximately $28,000), delivers a well-equipped camper van for around $100,000. This cost-effective approach allows for investing in a new van, allocating the remaining budget to a flexible and uncomplicated interior.
Another challenge in camper van ownership is the complexity of customization.
