How can the Brooklyn Nets turn their NBA season around?

2022 has largely been a forgettable season for the Brooklyn Nets on a variety of levels.

At face value, the Nets have by far and away one of the most exciting sides in the NBA, and their creative quality should be enough on paper, to trouble the very best sides in the Eastern Conference and beyond.

However, the Brooklyn Nets currently find themselves languishing in 12th place in the Eastern Conference table, with a losing record this term and a myriad of off-court issues to address and deal with.

Front and center to their problems have been Kyrie Irving, one of the most divisive characters in sport who despite his controversial issues and statements, remains integral to their on-court performances.

Last season was completely dominated by Irving’s refusal to accept the COVID 19 vaccination, a decision that left him unable to play both home and away NBA games at certain points in the season and one that put a huge strain on all associated with the franchise.

Beyond that, he has stoked controversy once more this term, with his views across a range of subjects, with Nets fans voting with their feet when it comes to how they feel Irving is representing the club.

Irving is clearly battling to establish himself in a side that is blessed with quality performers such as Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons but in general, the Nets haven’t produced consistently good performances this season and look to have a job on their hands to get into the playoffs as a result.

The Eastern Conference is currently being dominated by the rampant Boston Celtics but in the NBA, nothing is over until it’s over, giving the Nets a realistic chance of progressing to the knockout rounds.

Currently, the Brooklyn Nets are +2000 to win the NBA Championship with bet MGM and other sports betting apps available in New York, a figure that has swelled massively during the season so far, and all associated with the club will want to see results improving quickly.

The aforementioned Boston Celtics are the pace setters across the whole of the NBA currently, engrossed in a 7-game winning streak and with a 10-3 record already this term.

Sustaining the charge will be key for the Celtics but they really do look to have the bit between their teeth, after losing out in the NBA Championship finals in 2022.

At +650, the Boston Celtics are the favorites for NBA Championship glory in 2023.

Elsewhere, the likes of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns have emerged as two of the most exciting sides in the NBA over the past few seasons.

The Bucks come in at +650, whilst the Suns can be backed at +900 to fulfill their respective potentials and win the NBA title in 2023.
