Celebrating her success, Svitolina took to Instagram to share an endearing moment with her daughter, Skai. The photo captured Skai watching her mother’s post-match interview. In the accompanying caption, Svitolina expressed joy at finishing her match just before Skai’s bedtime, highlighting the special bond between the tennis star and her daughter.

Skai is the daughter of the tennis power couple, Elina Svitolina and French player Gael Monfils. The couple, who publicly disclosed their relationship in 2019, tied the knot on July 16, 2021. On May 15, 2022, they joyfully announced the upcoming arrival of their first child. Skai entered the world on October 15, 2022, eliciting excitement and heartfelt messages from her parents on social media.

Elina Svitolina’s remarkable journey extends beyond her recent triumph. Just eight months after giving birth, she made a spectacular return to competitive tennis. Participating in the Charleston Open in April 2023, Svitolina gradually regained form. Her resilience and skill led her to secure her 17th title at the Strasbourg Open, ending a 21-month title drought.

Svitolina continued her resurgence at the French Open, reaching the quarterfinals by defeating formidable opponents. The momentum carried into Wimbledon, where she advanced to the semifinals. Notable victories over Grand Slam winners, including Venus Williams, Sofia Kenin, Victoria Azarenka, and world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, showcased Svitolina’s remarkable post-pregnancy comeback. Although she ultimately fell to Marketa Vondrousova, Svitolina’s achievements underscore her enduring prowess on the tennis court.
