The Invention of Bitcoin

The Bitcoin network was officially created in 2009, when a person with the alias Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first block of the chain, popularly referred to as the genesis block. The first-ever recipient of Bitcoin was the creator of the reusable proof-of-work system, Hal Finney, who 10 days after the creation of Bitcoin received 10 bitcoins from Satoshi Nakamoto. The first transaction using bitcoin occurred in 2010, when a programmer purchased two pizzas from the popular pizza chain Papa John’s, for 10,000 bitcoins.

Since then, Bitcoin has seen a drastic rise in value, with new investors popping up on the numerous trading apps and sites. Trading apps provide an easy and beginner-friendly way of trading cryptocurrencies. Trading apps like the Bitcoin Power app have been one of the main forces in making Bitcoin more accessible to anyone, using Artificial Intelligence technology to read and predict the market’s fluctuations and allows prospective investors to maximize their profits. On top of that, security and safety are their top priority, which is why more and more people are looking into Bitcoin and crypto trading.

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?

Satoshi Nakamoto’s importance to the phenomenon of cryptocurrency is more than just him being the creator of Bitcoin. He is considered a somewhat philosophical guru and figurehead in the movement. Many proponents of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin invoke Nakamoto’s name and philosophy when discussing the merits and importance of cryptocurrency and digital assets, not just as a viable form of profit, but as a political movement.

The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains a mystery, that to this day, many people are trying to solve. It isn’t just anonymous strangers on the internet who are curiously investigating this mystery, but a number of high-profile people in the programming world are curious, with some even claiming that they have uncovered the secret. Despite the curiosity, the ever-elusive Satoshi Nakamoto has never revealed any personal information about his life, though the Bitcoin founder is very involved when it comes to technical matters regarding bitcoin.

Satoshi Nakamoto is Dorian Nakamoto

In March 2014, mainstream publication Newsweek identified Dorian Nakamoto, a 64-year-old, retired engineer living on the outskirts of Los Angeles, as the elusive creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The evidence which points to Dorian as Satoshi included their racial and ethnic identities (both being Asian and Japanese), their political leanings (both having libertarian politics), and of course, most obviously, the names. In their exposé, Newsweek claimed that Dorian Nakamoto claimed he was “no longer involved in Bitcoin” and had turned it over to other people.

However, Dorian Nakamoto later went on to deny the quote. He claimed he misunderstood their question and announced he has never had anything to do with the creation of bitcoin. To this day, many people suspect Satoshi’s identity, yet many doubt that Dorian is involved.
