The heartbreaking news of her passing was shared by her friends on social media, and TMZ later reported her death by suicide on Monday. According to the website, Kagney passed away at her residence in Parma, OH, on Thursday. Her friends have initiated a poignant GoFundMe campaign, accompanied by a heartfelt tribute to the late celebrity, confirming the circumstances.

The GoFundMe page, created by Kagney’s friends on behalf of her mother Tina, states, ‘Despite all of her many impressive accomplishments and talents, Kagney struggled with mental health issues as the years passed by.’ In their plea for support to assist Tina with the expenses for Kagney’s memorial, her friends have taken to social media to raise awareness about her mental health battle. They also mentioned that any excess funds raised would be directed towards supporting an animal rescue.

Creators of the GoFundMe page for Kagney’s mother expressed, ‘We are fundraising on behalf of Tina, Kagney’s mom, for the cost of Kagney’s memorial and all financial expectations associated with it.’

Who was Kagney Linn Karter?
As per her friends, the 36-year-old was ‘a performer, a singer, a dancer, a daughter, and a friend. She first came to our Cleveland studio in November of 2019, freshly moved out of LA, rearing and ready to jump back into pole, in a brand new community where she knew no one and no one knew her.’

Kagney began her career in the adult film industry in the mid-2000s, earning several AVN awards for her talents. In 2019, she made the decision to move from Los Angeles, returning to her passion for pole dancing and eventually becoming a regular at an Ohio studio. Later on, she decided to open her own studio, focusing on the artistic and athletic aspects of pole dancing rather than adult films. A friend mentioned on the fundraising page, ‘Even in her darkest days, however, she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, and better herself in whatever small way she could manage.'”
